Christmas Fun!

A summary of all our December fun, aside from Christmas day which will be a separate post. We did a little gingerbread house making (on the one day kids weren't throwing up), had a little nativity pageant at granni's, played a little guitar hero at Grandpa's house and oh yeah, did I mention we've been sick more days than well.... not really collectively... more like... one at a time so as to contain the entire month of December.

By the way...By my two year old's request I have now listened to the Jackson Five version of "Santa Clause is Comin' to Town" at least 3 times a day for almost the entire month of December. I was just wondering what in the heck is a rooty toot toot or a rummy tum tum? Anyone?

Christmas Day

A quiet Christmas morning at home. Mason got his cozy coupe car and Megan got lots of Ponyville items. She really gets the whole Christmas thing this year. She was really cute. We enjoyed watching the kids be excited and enjoy their Christmas presents. As you can see, I got a set of two pound weights. I'm sure this will go a long way toward losing the baby weight at some point :) We had mom and Michael and the brothers over for breakfast burritos. Dinner was at grandma and grandma Rotzes house. See below ... Mason with his guitar. He was INTO it!

Birthday Boy Mason!

Our little whipper-snapper turned 2 years old on Wednesday! We celebrated with a "Thomas the train" family party. We had visits by two sets of grandparents, cake and more presents than one little boy knows how to handle!

Mason has been enjoying his new tools, tee ball set and Thomas the train stuff! Thanks, everyone! He also LOVES is "miderman ball" (spider man ball).

We also went to Chuck E. Cheese on Saturday to celebrate Megan and Mason's birthday! That was more fun than my two little b-day kiddos knew what to do with- let me tell you!

When I laid him down to bed at the end of of day I said "Happy Birthday, Mason." He replied right back, "hatty dirtday, mommy".... melted my heart! That's my boy!

I've added my first video below too! Eat your hearts out- grandmas!!!

Thanksgiving!

We celebrated two Thanksgiving's this year! We spent Thursday at my dad's with our Denton cousins and my wonderful grandparent's who flew in from Utah. We had a great day with great food (thanks Christa!) and even spent some time in the hot tub!

On Friday we celebrated again with my mom and Michael at our house. They brought over their 9 foot tree since they don't quite have room for it this year and we decorated up the house and had a fun time cooking and listening to Christmas music. Let the holiday's begin!

This year's Christmas tree, although I feel like we cheated since it is my mom's. Oh well!! Thanks, Grandma and Grandpa Perry!

Saturday morning pancakes!

Here are some cute pictures of the kids and Greg making their traditional Saturday morning pancakes! I've also included some other "eating themed pics." I'm also going to attempt to attach a video of Mason.

Announcing the baby tie breaker...

It's A BOY!

We had our ultrasound today and it looks like everything is on track for a healthy baby boy!

Needless to say, Megan was quite disappointed when we brought her blue balloons instead of pink to let her know which way the ultrasound went. Her first words? "OH MAN!" Of course, she is now over it and seems perfectly excited. She has announced that she will be naming him Jackson which will not actually be happening although it is a super-cute name and all.

Mason, of course, has no clue what is going on but dutifully gives my belly a little kiss whenever sister does and points to my tummy when I ask "where is the baby?"

Another funny story. Megan asked me the other day, "mom, can the baby hear us?" I told her that yes indeed the baby can certainly hear us. I was waiting for some cute little "I love you baby Jackson" or other such cuteness. Instead, without skipping a beat she ran to the kitchen, grabbed the "That was easy" button from Staples, set it on my stomach and pressed it as close as she could. "THAT WAS EASY!" ........This was the message she HAD to share and pretty much the baby hasn't been spoken to since.

We are due April 23rd, 2009.

Happy Halloween!

My camera is less than great but my mom is dying to see my little Ariel and George so here they are! We had a fabulous few days celebrating Greg's birthday and of course enjoying all the Halloween festivities. There was a costume parade at Megan's preschool, b-day party for dad, carving our pumpkin, trick or treating at daddy's office and "trunk or treat" at the church. We are exhausted and the kids are all sugared up.

I would say that Mason has probably opened, licked and thrown away about 12 suckers today! He's been a funny boy lately. Here is a quick list of all his current cute phrases:

1. No way, Megan! He went around saying that all day yesterday. He is finally standing up for himself!

2. No way! His answer to pretty much anything.

3. When I asked him if he was going to be a monkey for Halloween he said, "no way!" (of course) and then when I asked what he WAS going to be he said, "Octopus!"

P.S. Greg just came downstairs from tucking in the sleep heads before we go to bed. He said that Megan was asleep in her bed with a sucker in her mouth.
